Bike sizing in Hamburg
The right size for your bike
You have found your new bike with us. Now we make sure it really fits you. Choosing the right frame size and setting up your new bike are a matter of course at Bikefactory — they are part of good advice.
We look at your body measurements, your mobility and the riding position you want, and match them against the geometry of the bikes in question. That gives us a sound basis for your new bike before you even order it.

The right frame size
The right frame size is the basis for a good position on the bike. That is why we do not rely on height or general size charts alone. We take your individual proportions, your intended use and the geometry of the particular model into account.
Our aim is a frame size that suits you and the way you want to ride your new road bike or gravel bike.
How we measure
On the left, four body measurements: height, shoulder width, arm length and inseam. On the right, the two frame measurements stack and reach.

Your bike built to fit
Once the right model has been found, we take important details of your later setup into account at the time of ordering. Together we choose a suitable stem length and handlebar width, and make sure the cockpit works with your proportions and the position you want.
When your bike has been built, we set the saddle position for you — above all the saddle height and the fore-and-aft position. That way you are not simply handed your new bike; it is already adjusted to you.
Part of our advice
Bike Sizing is not a separate service with us. It is part of the advice you get when you buy a new bike at Bikefactory. That lets us look at the choice of frame, the configuration and the later build together from the start.
Bike Sizing or Bike Fitting?
A professional Bike Fitting goes considerably deeper than our Sizing. It can involve motion analysis, video recordings, pressure measurements and extensive biomechanical examinations.
We do not offer that kind of analysis ourselves. If your needs go beyond choosing and setting up a new bike — for instance with persistent complaints, after injuries, or for very specific race optimization — we recommend a specialist Bike Fitter.
For buying a new bike, though, our advice and Bike Sizing lay the decisive groundwork. That way we find not only the right bike, but also the frame size and configuration that really suit you.
